Enroll Your Child
KIPP South Fulton Academy is a free, public charter school. Admission to KIPP South Fulton Academy is granted to students regardless of prior academic record, conduct or socioeconomic background. If there are more interested students and families than we have space for, a lottery is conducted for admission. Upon enrollment, you will be asked to sign the school’s Commitment to Excellence which outlines the commitments you, your child, and your child’s teacher agree to make to ensure a successful experience at KIPP South Fulton Academy.

2014 Open House Information
Any student zoned to Fulton County Schools is eligible for enrollment in KIPP South Fulton Academy. KIPP is a four-year program, and therefore students are expected to commit to the school from 5th to 8th grade. Families are encouraged to enroll during their child’s 4th grade year (for 5th grade) as slots are very limited in upper grades. There is no academic prerequisite for admission to KIPP South Fulton Academy.
Parents who are interested in joining the team and family at KIPP South Fulton Academy should submit an Open Enrollment Lottery/Waiting List enrollment form. The open enrollment period will begin January 1, 2014 and end at 5:00 pm on February 14th at 5:00 pm. At the end of open enrollment, we will choose students for admission by lottery. The first approximately 90-100 rising fifth graders picked will be offered a position. We expect to have a much smaller number of positions available for our sixth, seventh, and eighth grade classes, but those will also be chosen by lottery among eligible students who submit enrollment forms during the open enrollment period. Any students who are not admitted via the lottery will be added to the waitlist. Applications submitted after February 14th at 5:00 p.m. will be added to our waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.
The lottery is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday, February 18th at 6:00 p.m.

Process for Lottery
If the number of applicants to KIPP South Fulton Academy exceeds capacity, a random selection process will be used for admission, with first preference given to siblings of students already enrolled in the school as well as children of staff and teachers of the school. This lottery will be held on the school day following the enrollment deadlines after which the number of enrollment forms exceeds capacity.
After the lottery, interested parents can still submit enrollment forms; their children are added to our waiting list on a first-come, first-served basis.
