KIPP Through College Staff

LaChia Gunter, Program Coordinator
LaChia currently serves as the Program Coordinator. LaChia previously worked as the Membership & Marketing Director and Director of Teen Initiatives for The Villages at Carver Family YMCA. Prior to her work in the non-profit sector, she taught Spanish on the elementary and high school levels. She holds a B.A. in Spanish from Spelman College.

Alexis Hall, Administrative Assistant
Alexis is the Administrative Assistant. She graduated from KIPP South Fulton Academy in May 2008. She attended Foxcroft Boarding School in Middleburg Virginia. She graduated as Vice Head of School, Recipient of the Charlotte Haxall Noland Award and Graduation Speaker. She attended St. John's University in Queens, New York and is now attending Kennesaw State University here in Georgia. She is pursuing degrees in Business Marketing and Secondary Education.

Angie Lyons, College Readiness Advisor
Angie currently works with alumni from KIPP South Fulton Academy, mentoring them throughout their educational journey. Angie previously worked as Director of Admissions at St. Lutheran Boarding School in New Hampshire for four years before joining the KIPP Family.  She worked in high school placement for four years at the KIPP MAC office, exclusively with KIPP South Fulton Academy and KIPP WAYS Academy. Angie earned a B.A. in Sociology from Georgia State University.

Ebonee Mahone-Todman, College Readiness Advisor
Ebonee Mahone-Todman is the College Readiness Advisor. Previously, she served as the College and Career Program Director for the C5 Georgia program here in Atlanta.  She has also worked for the Metro Atlanta YMCA as the Youth and Teen Director and has worked with many schools in the capacity of community development and/or school social worker.  Ebonee has a BA in Psychology from Spelman College and a Masters in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. 

Antwan Mauzy, College Readiness Advisor
Antwan serves as the College Readiness Advisor. He first joined the KIPP family as a parent of a 5th grade KIPPster at KIPP South Fulton Academy.  He also started the Physical Education program at KIPP South Fulton Academy and became the Athletic Director. He has a BA from the University of Akron.

Sabrina Player, Director of KIPP Through College
Sabrina oversees the Alumni and High School Placement activities for all Metro Atlanta KIPP schools. Sabrina was a founding staff member at KIPP WAYS Academy in 2003 and began leading KTC in 2008. She is responsible for managing the program budget and staffing, as well as providing strategic direction for the program overall. Additionally, she plans and facilitates summer, Saturday and after-school programs and activities for alumni. She has a bachelor’s in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University (formerly the American College). 

Jamila Segure, Alumni Advisor
Jamila serves as the alumni advisor.  Prior to joining the KIPP Through College team, she taught science at KIPP South Fulton Academy.  She has been a member of the KSFA Team and Family since 2007. Jamila previously worked as sports program coordinator in Oakland, CA and a teacher in Savannah, GA. She has also worked as a student athletic trainer at UGA and completed an internship with the Women’s Sports Foundation. Jamila obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.

Corey Sheffield, College Readiness Advisor
Corey works with all the high school seniors and coordinates the SAT prep program and the college summit.  He has been with KTC for three years and previously taught 7th grade science at KIPP WAYS Academy. Corey earned a B.A. in Biology from Voorhees College, a Masters from Clark Atlanta University, a Specials degree from Argosy University, and is currently pursuing a doctorate.

Judon Streater, KIPP Through College Alumni Advisor
Judon is a KTC alumni advisor and is responsible for following KIPP Metro Atlanta graduates to ensure that they are on track for college.  Judon is in her 3rd year with KTC and previously served as the office manager at KIPP WAYS Academy and was a founding volunteer.  Ms. Streater earned B.A. in Sociology from South Carolina State University and Masters in Education specializing in School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University.

Mark Stucker, High School Placement Coordinator
Mark is the High School Placement Coordinator.  He works with families to develop a list of high schools that are a match for each student's passions, goals, personality and academic ability; he then works diligently to help each student get accepted at these schools. Prior to this, Mark did admissions work, multicultural work, fund raising and college counseling at the Westtown School in West Chester, PA. Mark has a BA in Psychology from Michigan State and a Masters of Theology from Dallas Seminary.
