Courtney Bell, Director of Human Resources
Courtney serves as the Director of Human Resources with KIPP Metro Atlanta. She previously served as the Senior Operations Manager with Ameriprise Financial and the Director of Human Resources with Laurel Baye Healthcare. She has more than ten years of experience in human resources, operations, field real estate, and financial management. She is a member and Secretary of the Program Advisory Council at Westwood College. She has a BS from Georgia State University and an MBA from Shorter University. She completed the Human Resources Management Program at Kennesaw State University and received her Professional in Human Resources Certificate (PHR).
LeAllison Boatright, Human Resources Generalist
LeAllison serves as the Human Resources Generalist. Previously, she served as the Recruitment Associate for KIPP Metro Atlanta. She began her career in banking and has over five years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta, she served as the New Business Processor for Ashford Advisors in Atlanta, GA. LeAllison earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas.
Elizabeth Sharp Broderick, Managing Director of External Relations and Strategy
Elizabeth serves as the Managing Director of External Relations and Strategy. She previously served as the Director of Development. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta, Elizabeth was a management consultant with the Atlanta office of Bain & Company. Earlier in her career, Elizabeth was the Director of Stewardship at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, an Atlanta Public Schools teacher with Teach for America, and a Senior Investment Consulting Associate with Cambridge Associates. Elizabeth holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA in Mathematics from Bates College.
Bryan Brownlow, Director of Facilities
Bryan serves as the Director of Facilities. Prior to becoming the Director of Facilities for KIPP Metro Atlanta, he was a Project Manager for Parker and Company. Previous clients have included CVS/Pharmacy, Coca-Cola, Cisco Systems, and KIPP WAYS Academy. He is a Desert Storm veteran and has managed construction projects in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman and Jordan. In 2006 he obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute.
La’Keitha Daniels, Community Relations Manager
La’Keitha is the Community Relations Manager. She has practiced law in Atlanta for the past ten years and has served as a political and business consultant and community advocate in the Metro Atlanta area. La’Keitha received a BA in Mass Media Arts/Public Relations from Clark Atlanta University and a Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School.
Vinice Davis, Managing Director of Operations
Vinice serves as the Managing Director of Operations. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta, Vinice was the Director of School Operations at the New York City Center for Charter School Excellence. Vinice started her career at Ernst and Young as a consultant. Vinice attended Emory University and graduated from the Goizueta Business School. She holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management at Yale University and a BBA in Management from Emory University's Goizueta School of Business.
Cara Fears, Office Manager
Cara serves as the Office Manager. She has more than 10 plus years of Office Management experience acquired while working in Advertising and Sales, Commercial and Residential Real Estate Development, and 13 plus years of combined experiences in Manufacturing Sales Management, Customer Service and HR attained while employed at Philips Components. Cara is also a veteran performer of stage, studio and theater, performing whenever possible and always for the joy of it. Cara attended Fort Valley State College in Fort Valley, Georgia and Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Ramous Fields, Director of Technology
Ramous serves as the Director of Technology. He has been working in the computer and telecommunications field for over twenty years. During this time, he has held a number of leadership positions in the Academic and Healthcare sectors working as a network engineer, NOC Manager, Director of Network Communications and Technical Services , and a consultant. He holds an undergraduate degree in Technology Management and Electronics Technology from Clayton State University.
Brian Graham, Controller
Brian serves as the Controller. Brian previously served as the controller for two large churches in southwest Atlanta. Brian began his career as a financial auditor with Ernst & Young LLP, where he primarily audited the Coca-Cola Company. Brian holds a BS in Accounting from North Carolina A&T State University and a MS in Accounting from the University of Virginia.
Kelly Gunn, Director of the Teacher Fellows Program
Kelly serves as the Director of the Teacher Fellows Program. Kelly began her career in education as a middle grades teacher in the Dallas Independent School District. She holds a BA from Tennessee State University, a Master’s in Education Administration and EdS in Curriculum and Instruction from Louisiana State University, and a doctorate in Urban Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati.
Shannon Hill, Development Associate
Shannon serves as the Development Associate. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta, Shannon was a consulting grant writer for Youth Rights Media, a policy fellow for the CT-based nonprofit All Our Kin, and a fellow for the Yale Women Faculty Forum. She holds an MA in Religion and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Yale University and a BA from Wellesley College.
Stan Ingber, Manager of School Nutrition
Stan serves as the Manager of School Nutrition. Stan Ingber comes to KIPP Metro Atlanta with more than twenty-five years of single, multi-unit and central kitchen food operations experience, primarily focused on school food and nutrition services. For more than ten years he was the Director of Purchasing and Support Services for a local food service management company serving fifty K-12 school districts in Missouri. Stan was Director of Food Services for Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Inc., and was Senior Director of Operations for Open Hand in Atlanta.
David Jernigan, Executive Director
David serves as the Executive Director, overseeing the network of KIPP schools in Metro Atlanta. Prior to assuming the role of Executive Director, he was the Founding Principal of KIPP WAYS (West Atlanta Young Scholars) Academy from 2003 to 2008. David came to Atlanta through the Teach For America program, where he taught at M. Agnes Jones Elementary School in the West End of Atlanta. Mr. Jernigan is a Morehead Scholar and graduate of the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and is the recipient of the 2003 Outstanding Young Alumni Award. He received his teaching certification through Georgia State University's Urban Alternative Teacher Certification Program and his Masters in Educational Administration from National Louis University in Chicago.
Jill Joplin, Director of Communications
Jill serves as the Director of Communications heading up marketing and PR efforts. She previously served as the Director of Development and has been with KIPP for 11 years. She is a former TFA corps member and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. She has a BA from the University of Alabama and an EdM from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
Cynthia Lazard, Accounting and Payroll Manager
Cynthia is the Accounting and Payroll Manager. She previously served as an Accounting and Payroll Specialist at Eagle Hospital Physicians. She served as an Accounting Assistant and Cives Corporation. She has a degree in Business Management from Kennesaw State University.
Judy Lin, Chief Operating Officer
Judy serves as the Chief Operating Officer. She most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Beau-coup Favors, Inc. a leading online retailer in the wedding and special events industries. She previously held the position of Director of Corporate Business Development and Strategy at Warner Bros. Prior to Warner Bros., Judy served as Director of Strategic Planning at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. here in Atlanta, working with Turner's cable networks (CNN, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, TMC). Judy holds and a BA from Northwestern University in Economics and Asian Studies and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Angela Page, Recruiter
Angela serves as the Recruiter. Angela began teaching when she moved to New Orleans to become a teachNOLA Fellow. She went on to teach Kindergarten at KIPP McDonough 15 and 2nd grade at New Orleans College Prep Charter School. She remained actively involved with teachNOLA by helping recruit and select candidates to join the program. Angela earned a dual BA in Government and Criminology from the University of Maryland.
Kinnari Patel-Smyth, Chief Academic Officer
Kinnari serves as the Chief Academic Officer for KIPP Metro Atlanta. Prior to KIPP, Kinnari joined New Leaders for New Schools in 2005 and served as a principal for several years before becoming the Managing Director of Program for Explore Schools in Brooklyn, New York. Kinnari began her career as a teacher in Fort Worth and Atlanta. She has a BS in Elementary Education from Salisbury State University and a Master’s in School Administration from Pace University.
Folami Prescott-Adams, Director of Leadership Development
Folami serves the Director of Leadership Development. She is a community psychologist with expertise in youth programming, media literacy and school reform. Folami has directed and consulted with schools and youth development programs for many Atlanta nonprofit organizations. She co-authored SETCLAE — a self-esteem curriculum — with Jawanza Kunjufu of African-American Images Publishing. Folami writes and performs children’s music. Her latest effort is entitled Come Be With Me and is available on cdbaby and itunes. She completed her undergraduate degree in sociology at Brown University, a Masters in Educational Administration from Temple University, and a doctorate in Community Psychology from Georgia State University.
Katie Rigby, Managing Director of Academics
Katie serves as the Director of Academics. She began her career in education teaching with the Teach For America program in North Carolina for two years before moving back to Atlanta to teach 5th and 6th grade science at KIPP WAYS Academy. Katie has a degree in Communication and Religion from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and a Master's in Education Policy and Management from Harvard's Graduate School of Education.
Kanisha Sherman Cambridge, Director of Mathematics
Kanisha is the Director of Mathematics and will lead an effort to align KIPP Metro Atlanta’s mathematics program across K-12. She most recently served as the Dean of Instruction at KIPP WAYS Academy. She began her career in education with Teach For America and taught fifth grade math, science and social studies in Houston, TX. Kanisha is a graduate of Syracuse University where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She later earned a Master's degree from Walden University in Teacher Leadership.
Erin Snell, Director of Literacy
Erin serves as the Director of Literacy for KIPP Metro Atlanta. Prior to joining KIPP, she was a Teach for America corps member and assisted Teach for America with new teacher training and developing university partnerships. She has a BA from the University of Texas and a Master’s in public affairs and PhD in education policy and leadership from Indiana University.
Troy Wright, Director of Finance
Troy is the Director of Finance. Troy started his career as an internal auditor with International Paper in Memphis, TN. After graduating with his MBA in 2006, he joined Harrah's Entertainment in Atlantic City, NJ. Troy was in the President's Associate program, where he supported four casinos in a planning and analysis role. Later he became a revenue manager. Troy has BA in Business Administration from Morehouse College and an MBA from Emory University.
