Courtney Bell, Director of Human Resources
Courtney serves as the Director of Human Resources with KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. Previously, she served as the Senior Operations Manager with Ameriprise Financial and the Director of Human Resources with Laurel Baye Healthcare. She has more than 10 years of experience in human resources, operations, field real estate, and financial management.  She is a member and secretary of the Program Advisory Council at Westwood College. She has a BS from Georgia State University and an MBA from Shorter University.  She completed the Human Resources Management Program at Kennesaw State University and received her Professional in Human Resources Certificate (PHR).

Nykia Blue, Controller
Nykia serves as the Controller. Previously, she served as the Director of Finance at New Orleans College Prep Charter School, where she was a founding member. Her accounting and finance career spans more than 10 years. She received an Associate of Applied Business degree in Accounting Technology from Brown Mackie College and a BA in Accounting from Dillard University.

LeAllison Boatright, Human Resources Generalist
LeAllison serves as the Human Resources Generalist. Previously, she served as the Recruitment Associate for KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools. She began her career in banking and has over five years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, she served as the New Business Processor for Ashford Advisors in Atlanta, GA. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas.

Angela Bond, Director of Talent
Angela serves as the Director of Talent. She began teaching when she moved to New Orleans to become a teachNOLA Fellow. She went on to teach Kindergarten at KIPP McDonough 15 and second grade at New Orleans College Prep Charter School. She remained actively involved with teachNOLA by helping recruit and select candidates to join the program. She earned a dual BA in Government and Criminology from the University of Maryland.

Bryan Brownlow, Director of Facilities and Transportation
Bryan serves as the Director of Facilities and Transportation. Prior to becoming the Director of Facilities for KIPP Metro Atlanta, he was a Project Manager for Parker and Company. Previous clients have included CVS Pharmacy, Coca-Cola, Cisco Systems, and KIPP WAYS Academy. He is a Desert Storm veteran and has managed construction projects in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, and Jordan. In 2006 he obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification through the Project Management Institute.

Ben Cabeza, Manager of Data Strategy
Ben serves as the Manager of Data Strategy. He previously served as the Data Specialist at LEAD Public Schools in Nashville, TN, and taught middle school math in Charlotte, NC, as a Teach For America corps member. He has an ABJ in Public Relations and BA in Speech Communications from the University of Georgia, as well as an MPP in Education Policy from Vanderbilt's Peabody College of Education.

Erika EllisonChief Financial Officer
Erika serves as the Chief Financial Officer. She previously managed the annual budgeting process for Baltimore City Public Schools. She also served as the Executive Director of Finance and School Operations for Touchstone Education in Newark, NJ, and as the Director of Finance for Mastery Charter Schools in Philadelphia, PA. Erika has an MBA in Finance and Strategy from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Literature and Language from Harvard University.

Renee Felder, Staff Accountant

Ramous FieldsDirector of Technology
Ramous serves as the Director of Technology. He has been working in the computer and telecommunications field for more than 20 years. During this time, he has held a number of leadership positions in the Academic and Healthcare sectors working as a network engineer, NOC Manager, Director of Network Communications and Technical Services, and a consultant. He holds an undergraduate degree in Technology Management and Electronics Technology from Clayton State University.

Adia German, Administrative Assistant
Adia serves as the Administrative Assistant. Previously, she was a Teach For America - Metro Atlanta corps member where she taught high school CCGPS Coordinate Algebra I at the Carver School of Health Sciences and Research in Atlanta Public Schools. Adia received a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri.

Stan Ingber, Director of School Nutrition
Stan serves as the Director of School Nutrition. He comes to KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools with more than 25 years of single, multi-unit, and central kitchen food operations experience, primarily focused on school food and nutrition services. For more than 10 years he was the Director of Purchasing and Support Services for a local food service management company serving fifty K-12 school districts in Missouri. Additionally, he was previously Director of Food Services for Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, Inc., and was Senior Director of Operations for Open Hand in Atlanta.

Javelle Johnson, Office Manager
Javelle serves as the Office Manager. Most recently, she spent two years as the Special Events Coordinator/Business Relations Specialist for The Lord's Place Inc., located in West Palm Beach, FL. Javelle received her BA in Performance Theatre with a minor in Broadcast Journalism from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA.

Veronica King, Operations Associate
Veronica serves as the Operations Associate. As a member of the 2002 Teach for America - Metro Atlanta corps, she taught middle school Gifted Social Studies at Harper-Archer Middle School.  Most recently she worked as a Business Operations Specialist in McMaster-Carr’s Atlanta office. She has a BA in Hispanic Studies from Columbia University.

Shyam Kumar, Managing Director of Talent and Strategy
Shyam serves as the Managing Director of Talent and Strategy. Previously, he worked with Teach For America in various administrative capacities. He also worked with General Electric, completing their management leadership program and serving as a Six Sigma Blackbelt. he has a BS in Information Systems from Case Western University.

Judy Lin, Chief Operating Officer
Judy serves as the Chief Operating Officer. She most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Beau-coup Favors, Inc. a leading online retailer in the wedding and special events industries.  She previously held the position of Director of Corporate Business Development and Strategy at Warner Bros. Prior to Warner Bros., Judy served as Director of Strategic Planning at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. here in Atlanta, working with Turner's cable networks (CNN, TNT, TBS, Cartoon Network, TMC).  She holds a BA from Northwestern University in Economics and Asian Studies and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Kerry McArdle, Managing Director of External Relations
Kerry serves as the Managing Director of External Relations, including development, communications, and community relations. She previously worked as Director of Leadership Development at Gwinnett County Public Schools through the Broad Residency in Urban Education. She has also worked in strategic and analytical positions at Coca-Cola Enterprises and Delta Air Lines, and as a volunteer in the US Peace Corps. She has a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University.

Katie Mock, Marketing and Communications Manager
Katie serves as the Marketing and Communications Manager. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, she served as the Associate of Individual Giving and Development Coordinator at Teach For America – Metro Atlanta. She got her start in education as a 2009 Teach For America corps member, where she taught middle school English/Language Arts in Eastern Arkansas. She graduated with highest honors and highest distinction from the University of North Carolina, where she holds a degree in Journalism & Mass Communication and Political Science.

Kinnari Patel-Smyth, Executive Director
Kinnari serves as the Executive Director. Prior to coming to KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, she joined New Leaders for New Schools in 2005 and served as a principal for several years before becoming the Managing Director of Program for Explore Schools in Brooklyn, New York. She began her career as a teacher in Fort Worth and Atlanta. She has a BS in Elementary Education from Salisbury State University and a Master's degree in School Administration from Pace University.

John Rajeski, Director of Teacher Effectiveness
John serves as a Director of Teacher Effectiveness; before that, he was the Director of Teacher Development at KIPP STRIVE Academy. Prior to teaching, John spent twelve years in the television industry, including several years on the staff of the Emmy award winning show, "Frasier.” He later joined Teach For America and taught 4th grade at PS 153 in Washington Heights. After two successful years there, he accepted a position at KIPP STAR College Prep Charter School in Harlem as their 5th grade founding writing teacher.  In 2006, John joined several other KIPP teachers and school leaders to launch the KIPP World Class Writing Project, a study of the most effective strategies used in classrooms across America to create strong student writers. John graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in writing from the Newhouse School of Communications.

Ana RectorIndividual Giving Manager
Ana serves as the Individual Giving Manager. Prior to joining KIPP, she was the Direct Marketing Manager for Georgia Public Broadcasting where she led a multi-million dollar individual giving program. She has also served as the Director of Membership & Donations for the Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA). She graduated summa cum laude from Clark Atlanta University with a B.A. in Art & Art History and has completed all coursework for her M.A. in Arts Administration from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD).

Katie Rigby, Managing Director of College Readiness
Katie serves as the Managing Director of College Readiness. She began her career in education as Teach For America - Charlotte corps member for two years before moving back to Atlanta to teach middle school science at KIPP WAYS Academy. She has a degree in Communication and Religion from Wake Forest University and a Master's degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard's Graduate School of Education.

Mary-Kate Starkel, Institutional Giving Manager
Mary-Kate serves as the Institutional Giving Manager. A native Atlantan, Mary-Kate previously served as the Director of Youth Leadership and Engagement for GUIDE, Inc., as well as Camp Director for Camp Kudzu, positions which ignited her passion for positive youth development and creative learning environments in education. She holds a Bachelors of Social Work (BSW) and Masters of Public Administration (MPA) in Nonprofit Management from Georgia State University.

Melissa Williams, Director of Teacher Effectiveness
Melissa serves as a Director of Teacher Effectiveness. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, she was the Site Director of Teacher Quality for the Memphis Teaching Fellows at TNTP. Additionally, she was the Director of Research, Assessment, and Accountability in Orangeburg County Consolidated School District 3, an administrator for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, and a Teach For America - Charlotte corps member. She has a BA in Sociology from the University of South Carolina-Upstate and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instructional Leadership from the University of Memphis.

Keya Wondwossen, Talent Recruiter
Keya serves as the Talent Recruiter. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, Keya was a 2010 Teach For America - Metro Atlanta corps member. She taught Elementary English as a Second Language (ESL) to students of all grade levels for three years at her placement school in Morrow, GA. She earned a BA in International Affairs from the University of Georgia.

Troy Wright, Managing Director of Finance
Troy is the Managing Director of Finance. He started his career as an internal auditor with International Paper in Memphis, TN. After receiving his MBA in 2006, he joined Harrah's Entertainment in Atlantic City, NJ. Troy was in the President's Associate program, where he supported four casinos in a planning and analysis role; he later became a revenue manager. Troy has a BA in Business Administration from Morehouse College and a MBA from Emory University.
