- For the sixth year in a row, KIPP South Fulton Academy students did well on the Georgia CRCT (Criterion-Referenced Competency Test). In fact, 98% of the 8th graders passed the reading portion, 96% passed the language arts portion, 94% passed the math and social studies portions, and 84% passed the science portion.
- Since entering KIPP South Fulton Academy in 2005, last year’s 8th graders showed tremendous gains in achievement in 2009.
They:
- Increased their ITBS language arts scores from a mean National Percentile Ranking (NPR) of 53% when they entered KIPP to mean NPR of 68%.
- Increased their reading scores from a mean NPR of 49% to a mean NPR of 62%.
- Iincreased their math scores from a mean NPR of 47% to a mean NPR of 67%.
- In 2009, 93% of KIPP South Fulton Academy fifth graders passed the Georgia Writing Test, compared to 78% in Georgia. 95% of KIPP South Fulton Academy eighth graders passed the Georgia Writing Assessment compared to 74% in Georgia.
- In 2008, the Georgia Public Policy Foundation named KIPP South Fulton Academy as one of the 35 No Excuses Schools in the State of Georgia.

- 100% of last year’s 8th graders passed the CRCT in reading for the 2nd year in a row, 97% passed the CRCT in language arts, and 93% passed in math.
- The most recent 8th graders of KIPP WAYS Academy, who entered in 2005 as 5th graders, by the end of their 8th grade year had grown 14 percentile points in reading (41st to 55th percentile), 25 percentile points in language arts (37th to 66th percentile), and 29 percentile points in math (37th to 66th percentile) according to the Iowa Test of Basic Skills.
- In 2009, 85% of KIPP WAYS Academy fifth graders passed the Georgia Writing Test, compared to 78% in Georgia. 95% of KIPP WAYS Academy eighth graders passed the Georgia Writing Assessment compared to 74% in Georgia.
- In 2008, the Georgia Public Policy Foundation named KIPP WAYS Academy the #1 “No Excuses School" in the state and the #2 overall middle school in Georgia, according to 8th grade CRCT scores.
- In 2007, KIPP WAYS Academy was named a STAR Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) School by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution for ranking #4 in the state of Georgia for 8th grade math.
