KIPP Metro Atlanta is a network of free public charter schools committed to helping Atlanta’s under-served students develop the knowledge, skills and character required to succeed in top quality high schools, colleges and the competitive world beyond.

KIPP Metro Atlanta schools focus on results, more time and high expectations. Our students:
- Attend school daily from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Attend school for 1/2 day every other Saturday
- Attend a two-to-three week summer session prior to the start of the full school year

The KIPP network is comprised of 82 schools in 19 states and the District of Columbia serving over 16,000 students, including the three KIPP Metro Atlanta schools, KIPP South Fulton Academy, KIPP WAYS Academy, and KIPP STRIVE Academy.

Both KIPP Metro Atlanta schools are among the highest performing public middle schools in Georgia; they were named as two of the 35 “No Excuses Schools” by the Georgia Public Policy Foundation.

Admission to KIPP schools is granted to students regardless of prior academic record, conduct or socioeconomic background. If there are more interested students and families than we have space for, a lottery is conducted for admission.

More than 95% of KIPP Metro Atlanta students are African-American. More than 70% are eligible for the federally reduced meal program.
